Owen had a doctor apt. on Friday and he weighed 7 lb 9 oz. so he gained 11 oz since we brought him home. I asked if that was a lot and the Dr. said they just want him to gain back what he lost when he left the hospital. He weighed 7# 1.9 oz when born and then when we left the hospital he was 6# 14 oz so he has defiantly put on what he lost and a little more. He is a really good eater (he takes after had dad : ) I am breastfeeding so its good to know that he is getting all he needs since there is no way to tell, except by his weight.

Yesterday was October in the Park and Owen and I went down to check it out. Mom had a booth at the show so we hung out with her all day. The weather was absolutely beautiful (except for the bees) and Owen slept the entire time (except to eat, of course). Mom did pretty good selling her leaves at the show. I only bought a pair of awesome mittens that Alicia's grandma made and two mums for in my pots by the house. Other than that it was just nice to be out and about and not cooped up in the house.

Today were going to just relax and watch the Packer Game.

Tomorrow were taking Owen to my work to visit the girls. I have to turn in insurance paperwork so we have to go in. Everyone is excited to meet him.

Owens BIG Blowout...

Owen had his first BIG blowout... and it happened to be right before dinner (Yummy). So he got his first "real" bath. His umbilical cord just fell off this morning so he could have a real bath instead of a sponge bath. Not only did we have a big blow out, the tub was leaking for some odd reason and we had water all over the bathroom and me. Oh, the joys of being a parent. Were loving every minute of it. Sorry, there were no pictures of bath time since we had our hands full...

Baby Owen has Arrived...

Baby Owen has arrived. He is a beautiful 7 lb 1.9 oz boy. I started having contractions on Tuesday at work and on Wednesday I called in to work to tell them I was having contractions and was going to stay home. At 2:30 we went in to the doctor to be evaluated because my contractions were 5-7 minutes apart. We had our evaluation and my water was about to burst and I was 4 cm dialated so they brought us up the the Maternity ward and at 9:39 p.m. he arrived. I had an epideral but it didnt work so they gave me another one (thank GOD). After only 15 minutes of pushing, he was born. We are both doing really good.

Owens Nursery

The long awaited pictures have arrived. We got Owens nursery all set up and ready to go. I am counting down the days. I am feeling pretty good still. Sleeping is a challenge but I think that's your body's way of preparing you for no sleep once he arrives. Between braxton hicks and heartburn, oh, and having to go to the bathroom every hour I'm up more than I'm sleeping. Work threw me a shower and bought us the entire nursery set decor and more. My family shower was also really nice. I got everything I needed and then some. Eric and I used shower money to puschase a Pack n' Play and a swing for Owen since we did not receive them.

Its a BOY!!!

We found out on Tuesday that Baby O is a Boy. We are really excited. I have been getting presents almost every day from everyone in the family who is buying us stuff. Mostly clothes at this point. I cant wait to register. We have the crib and changing table all put together. I also finished painting the closet a few weeks ago. So i think were set. Now we have to wait unit our shower to start decorating and organizing.

Updates

Well, its been quite a while since I have been on-line or on the computer at all for personal use. So here goes. I officially have a baby bump, I swear I could feel my stomach expanding this last week. My friend Kelly and I went rummaging on Saturday (we braved the cold) but we didn't have much luck... It would be easier if I knew the sex of the baby (only 4 weeks left)... We were supposed to March for Babies on Saturday morning but it was flurrying and there were 30 mph winds, so we went out for breakfast instead. Tomorrow I have a doctors apt. in the morning and a dentist apt. on Wednesday (ugh).

We will be finding out if baby "O" is a girl or boy in May! I cant wait. Its like Christmas :). We will have an hour long ultrasound and a meeting with the doctor afterwards. Hopefully, all is well with little O. We will keep you all updated.
