Eric and I decided to have a date night tonight. We honestly cant remember the last time we went out, just the two of us.. Eric thinks it was a year ago, YIKES! We went to a somewhat local Supper Club and enjoyed steak on his parents : ) (they gave us a gift certificate for X-Mass). I had 1/2 a fritter, a salad, french onion soup, a 6 oz tenderloin with prawns and steamed aspargus. My tenderloin melted in my mouth it was amazing. Eric had the bacon wrapped blue cheese tenderloin with a salad, fruit, aspargus and mushrooms. I had a bite and it was sooooo good. We ended up taking leftovers home and only spending $20.00 (yeah, cheap dates). We ran some errands afterward and were home by 7:30. I know were a little lame... what can we say. Evan has a phobia of some sort and once he realizes were not home he freaks out and cries for, well until we get home.. He seems a little young to do that but this is the second or third time it has happened when we leave him with family. As soon as we walked in the door he went by Eric and immediately stopped crying. Its bizarre. He loves us : )
Well tomorrow is Easter! We colored Eggs with the boys this morning and Owens basket is ready for finding as well as the eggs that we hid. It seems a little funny to celebrate Easter with eggs and baskets but its a tradition Eric has celebrated for ever and we have decided to keep it going with our boys. Of course the true meaning of Easter (Jesus) will be shared with our boys as well.
He is Risen!
Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him..... He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

Evan loves this toy!
Snow day!
No work for us today. I called in because we had drifts 4-6 feet tall and were unable to go anywhere. The roads were drifted shut so schools were closed. The boys and I all hung out and played all day. I also made a wipes case and burp cloth while they napped. I think they turned out pretty cute for the first attempt.

Have I ever told you...
Have I ever told you how awesome you are! My mom that is..... She is the most amazing mom, friend and caregiver anyone could ever ask for. Just to show you how awesome she is, here is what she did for me tonight. I called her to tell her I was done with work early and she said she would bring me a surprise dinner (Eric is working). She showed up at my house with Steak (topped with mush. and onions), Haddock and fresh steamed broccoli which was all amazing. She even brought a few sweet treats : ). She is truly amazing. Anytime I need advice, someone to talk too, someone to watch my kiddos, she is there... and never does she ever expect anything in return. I pray that I can be half the mom and person she is.... I love you mom! You truly are the BEST... xoxo
