Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year to everyone... Its hard to believe that its already 2009 (well almost). Time sure does fly. I have no plans for tonight. Eric had to work so I am going to spend some time with Owen and just relax.

Tomorrow my friend Kelly is going to come over to visit (a visit way too over due!). Later on in the evening were going to get together with the Olson's for Steak and Lobster. Its somewhat of a family tradition (a pretty nice one if you ask me : ) I know I am sure looking forward to it.

Owens 3 Month photo shoot

Owen will be three months on Wednesday. I cant believe it. Aunt Kelly came over to take his 3 month photos and some Christmas pictures for our Christmas card. They turned out really cute. He rolled over for Eric and I today. He rolled over a month or so ago already (for mom and the Olson's) but we had not seen it. It was really cute and very exciting for us to see.

Owen in his reindeer outfit (Babies 1st Christmas) and his Christmas Outfit. He didn't stay happy for too long so the photo shoot was pretty short.

Its Beginning to Feel alot Like Christmas!

Last weekend Eric, Owen and I all went to get our tree. We always go to Sherwood to pick out the best one. It took less than 10 minutes and we were on our way back home. Eric helped me put the lights on it and then he was off to go hunting. Owen and I listened to Christmas music, sipped hot chocolate (well I did : ) and he watched me hang the decorations on the tree. After I decorated the tree I put up some of my snowmen. It took me all day to decorated. After all, I am a mom and have other obligations now... I started and finished all my Christmas shopping last weekend as well. Mom and I went on Black Friday. I wrapped all the presents and they are all under the tree ready for Christmas. With all the snow we have been getting, it sure does feel like Christmas...

Happy Thanksgiving....

I know its early but I am just too excited to wait.. So HAPPY THANKSGIVING! This is our favorite holiday. What don't you love about getting together with family, reflecting on what you are all thankful for and eating tons of great food.
Tomorrow is lunch at mom and dad's at 11:30 and then 1:00 starts "round 2". Its also Owen's First Thanksgiving so that's also exciting for us. Well, I hope you all have an awesome Thanksgiving.

First Snow

We got the fist snowfall of the winter last night and into this a.m. We got about 2-3 inches. The roads were terrible and by the time I got to work I thought I was going to have a nervous break down. I forgot how much I hate driving on bad roads. They weren't plowed so it was nauseating driving and not being able to see the center line or the sides of the roads. I made it to work with one minute to spare. That was the latest I have ever punched the time clock in the three years I have been there. I am always 15 minutes early. Well, not today. I even left 45 minutes early which should have been more than plenty of time. OH, well I guess I better get used to it since this is only the beginning...
Owen had a doctors apt. on Thursday and he now weights 11.5 pounds and is 23 inches long. He is growing like a weed. He is smiling and "cooing" like crazy. Were having so much fun watching him grow and change everyday.

Happy Birthday to Me...

Today is my birthday. The big "24." Wow, next year I will be half way to "50" (YIKES). I had a really good birthday weekend. Saturday Eric and I went out to dinner in Appleton and Owen went to Grandma Olson's for a few hours. Of course he rolled over AGAIN and I didn't see it. The first time was at moms when she had him for a few hours while Eric and I worked on a school project he needed to turn in (long story). We thought it was a fluke when he did it at moms but I guess not. He is such a strong boy, its unbelievable. Its so amazing how fast they grow and how much they change.

Today, we slept in (HAHA) well that's a lie because with kids that never happens. Eric made a big breakfast for me and then we went to Great Grandma/pa Olson's for lunch and to watch the Packer Game. After that we headed to mom and dads to visit. Grandma Nancy stopped in to say Happy Birthday and to vist as well. It was a really relaxing day.

Owen started smiling about two weeks ago. He has been doing a lot of cooing and "talking" so today I took these pictures of him smiling. I also got it on video. It just makes your day.

Owen

Yesterday Owen was 7 weeks old. Can you even believe it?! I know we cant. This is my last full week off of work. I have to go back on Wednesday. I am not very excited. I really wish I could stay home with Owen but that just is not possible right now, so were going to make the best of it.

I took this picture of Owen today before we went to Wal-mart to get pictures developed for my desk when I go back to work. Isn't he just the cutest little boy ever :)

Here is a recent picture of Owen in a onsie that Courtney got for him. I just love it....

Owens "Tubber" at Grandma Schumacher's House

Owen had his first "tubber" (as Ethan would call it) at Grandma Schumacher's house because he had a big blow out. Doesn't he look cute. He actually really enjoys his baths.

RIP Sushi

So Sushi (our Beta) died yesterday, well were not really sure when he died. I changed his water on Saturday and he was alive then so somewhere after that he died. I wasn't too sad about it. Eric just laughed and flushed him down the toilet...

Owen had a doctor apt. on Friday and he weighed 7 lb 9 oz. so he gained 11 oz since we brought him home. I asked if that was a lot and the Dr. said they just want him to gain back what he lost when he left the hospital. He weighed 7# 1.9 oz when born and then when we left the hospital he was 6# 14 oz so he has defiantly put on what he lost and a little more. He is a really good eater (he takes after had dad : ) I am breastfeeding so its good to know that he is getting all he needs since there is no way to tell, except by his weight.

Yesterday was October in the Park and Owen and I went down to check it out. Mom had a booth at the show so we hung out with her all day. The weather was absolutely beautiful (except for the bees) and Owen slept the entire time (except to eat, of course). Mom did pretty good selling her leaves at the show. I only bought a pair of awesome mittens that Alicia's grandma made and two mums for in my pots by the house. Other than that it was just nice to be out and about and not cooped up in the house.

Today were going to just relax and watch the Packer Game.

Tomorrow were taking Owen to my work to visit the girls. I have to turn in insurance paperwork so we have to go in. Everyone is excited to meet him.

Owens BIG Blowout...

Owen had his first BIG blowout... and it happened to be right before dinner (Yummy). So he got his first "real" bath. His umbilical cord just fell off this morning so he could have a real bath instead of a sponge bath. Not only did we have a big blow out, the tub was leaking for some odd reason and we had water all over the bathroom and me. Oh, the joys of being a parent. Were loving every minute of it. Sorry, there were no pictures of bath time since we had our hands full...

Baby Owen has Arrived...

Baby Owen has arrived. He is a beautiful 7 lb 1.9 oz boy. I started having contractions on Tuesday at work and on Wednesday I called in to work to tell them I was having contractions and was going to stay home. At 2:30 we went in to the doctor to be evaluated because my contractions were 5-7 minutes apart. We had our evaluation and my water was about to burst and I was 4 cm dialated so they brought us up the the Maternity ward and at 9:39 p.m. he arrived. I had an epideral but it didnt work so they gave me another one (thank GOD). After only 15 minutes of pushing, he was born. We are both doing really good.

Owens Nursery

The long awaited pictures have arrived. We got Owens nursery all set up and ready to go. I am counting down the days. I am feeling pretty good still. Sleeping is a challenge but I think that's your body's way of preparing you for no sleep once he arrives. Between braxton hicks and heartburn, oh, and having to go to the bathroom every hour I'm up more than I'm sleeping. Work threw me a shower and bought us the entire nursery set decor and more. My family shower was also really nice. I got everything I needed and then some. Eric and I used shower money to puschase a Pack n' Play and a swing for Owen since we did not receive them.

Its a BOY!!!

We found out on Tuesday that Baby O is a Boy. We are really excited. I have been getting presents almost every day from everyone in the family who is buying us stuff. Mostly clothes at this point. I cant wait to register. We have the crib and changing table all put together. I also finished painting the closet a few weeks ago. So i think were set. Now we have to wait unit our shower to start decorating and organizing.

Updates

Well, its been quite a while since I have been on-line or on the computer at all for personal use. So here goes. I officially have a baby bump, I swear I could feel my stomach expanding this last week. My friend Kelly and I went rummaging on Saturday (we braved the cold) but we didn't have much luck... It would be easier if I knew the sex of the baby (only 4 weeks left)... We were supposed to March for Babies on Saturday morning but it was flurrying and there were 30 mph winds, so we went out for breakfast instead. Tomorrow I have a doctors apt. in the morning and a dentist apt. on Wednesday (ugh).

We will be finding out if baby "O" is a girl or boy in May! I cant wait. Its like Christmas :). We will have an hour long ultrasound and a meeting with the doctor afterwards. Hopefully, all is well with little O. We will keep you all updated.

Weekend Fun

Today mom, grams, Ethan and I all went shopping. We went to Fond Du Lac to the mall and Target. We had lunch at a little Mexican restaurant (one of my pregnancy cravings) and it was delicious. We even shared some Mexican fried ice cream (moms favorite).

Tomorrow my friend Kelly is coming over to hang out for the day.

Turning a corner....

Well, I think I finally turned a corner in my pregnancy. I am no longer having morning sickness or any kind of sickness for that matter. Thank God. I have been feeling great, plus I finally have some energy back. I went out and bought some maternity clothes this weekend. I am still in my regular clothes, however, each week my jeans slowly become scarce since I can no longer fit in some of them. My tops are slowly becoming shorter and shorter as well. So I guess this is it. My pregnancy book said that this coming week is the week to break out the elastic pants. YIKES... I guess there is no going back now : )

Sick of Being Sick

I am so sick of being sick. Feeling sick is one thing but actually being sick is no fun. I am pretty much sick every other day but this past week I made it 4 days without being sick which is a record for me. My Dr. said that after 12 weeks (4 days to go and counting) I should start feeling better and I should start to get my energy back. I know there is no switch that after 12 weeks you get to feel better but I am sure crossing my fingers that it somewhat works like that :). Our next apt. is on Thursday, April 3rd so we will keep you posted.

First Ultrasound for Baby O

So today I went in for my first ultrasound… we had to come back because the doctor wanted to check how far along I am. Eric was disappointed because he had class and couldn’t come, so mom took his place. Baby Olson wasn’t very cooperative today for the Ultrasound, as you can see from the pictures he/she wouldn’t turn his/her head for anything. We tried to get him/her to turn but we had no luck so we took what we could get. We also got to hear the heartbeat today and the tech. said that it was perfect, exactly as it should be. We could see the little heart just a beating. It was VERY exciting. So, everything is progressing as it should : ) Our next appt. is in April so we will keep you posted. I do have to say that I am ready to start feeling better. Hopefully, only a week or two to go…

Dr. Appt

Thursday Eric and I had our 1st Dr. Appt. I was really nervous because I didn't know what to expect. We met our OBGYN who I absolutely love, I would definitely recommend her. I had to have a pap and blood taken (I absolutely hate needles but my nurse did a wonderful job, I told her she could take my blood any day and she laughed). We had a sonogram (I think thats what its called) done which allowed us to see our little peanut (totally unexpected). He/She was about 3cm long and very active, you could see the hands and feet just a going. We all laughed because of how active he/she was. You could also see the heart beat which the doctor said looks strong. We have an apt. on Monday afternoon to go in for an ultrasound. Eric is disappointed that he wont be able to go because of school, so mom will be going with me. I think she's excited : )...

Well thats all for now, I will keep you all posted on my progress.

We're EXPECTING!!!!!

We have been hiding it since January and we just can't hide it any longer. Eric and I are expecting a little bundle of joy in October! We broke the news to the family last night, and everyone seems very excited for us. I am currently 8 weeks along and have my doctors appt. on Thursday (yikes). We are praying that everything goes good. We will keep you posted...

Here goes...

Well, since I have been getting a lot of grief about not blogging since Christmas, here goes... Nothing much has been going on with us. Same old work, eat, sleep and repeat. Today mom and I went to the mall to have her ring inspected, it passed with flying colors thank goodness. We did a little shopping at the mall but left with no bags. We had lunch at Applebee's, yummy and brought home Papa Murphy's pizza for the family (all but Eric, sorry you had to work babe but "somebody's gotta, right"). Well, thats all for now. I will try and do a better job of blogging. Off to bed : )
